I have tried 3 DAB radios so far , DAB promises a great deal but is unable to supply a practical way of listening to radio programs. Very Poor battery life, Signal drop-outs even in a strong signal area, terrible audio quality (music sations in low bitrate mono for goodness sake ?) More stations but none that I want to listen to that are not already available on medium wave, long Wave and FM. If you want interesting radio from all round the world, try a shortwave radio – a band used since the 1920s which is now being re-vitalised by a new digital system Digital Radio mondial. Of course if you are able to access the internet the choice of radio stations is fantastic. DAB is a joke forced on us by people who will do anything to avoid admitting that they made a big mistake.
